What Trauma Really Is
Trauma is not defined only by the events you have lived through. It is about how those experiences impacted your sense of safety, connection, and control. It can come from a single overwhelming event, or from things that happened again and again over time.
What we now know through neuroscience, psychology, and thousands of lived stories, is that trauma changes the way your brain and body respond to the world. But we also know this: healing is possible. The brain is adaptable. The body wants to come back into balance. And with the right kind of support, it can.
