Internal Family Systems
A gentle path towards self understanding and emotional healing
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a compassionate and empowering therapeutic approach that helps you understand and heal the different parts of yourself. We all have inner parts that carry emotions, beliefs and protective roles, especially around stress, anxiety, trauma or self doubt. IFS gently supports you to connect with these parts in a safe and respectful way, allowing healing to unfold from within and meaningful change to develop naturally.
As a qualified psychologist trained in Internal Family Systems, I provide a warm and supportive space where you can explore your inner world with curiosity and self compassion. Together, we work to ease inner conflict, strengthen your sense of calm and clarity, and help you feel more confident, balanced and connected to your authentic self.
What Is Internal Family Systems
Internal Family Systems is an evidence based therapeutic approach that recognises we all have different parts within us, such as the part that strives, the part that worries or the part that feels vulnerable. These parts are not flaws, but meaningful aspects of your experience that have developed for important reasons. When certain parts feel overwhelmed or stuck, they can create inner tension or emotional distress. IFS gently guides you to listen to these parts with care, curiosity and understanding rather than judgement. Through this process, you can experience greater inner harmony, resilience and emotional freedom.

Supporting Trauma and Relationships Through IFS
Trauma often leave parts of us feeling stuck fearful, or hurt. Through gentle exploration, you can help these parts feel seen, understood and safe. By connecting with your inner system, you can access and process difficult emotions in a way that honours each part's experience, allowing your nervous system to relax and release tensions.
In relationships, this approach helps you recognise the parts of yourself that influence how you connect with others, including your protective parts, your vulnerable parts, and your curious compassionate Self. By understanding and working with these parts, you can develop greater emotional resilience, improve communication, and shift unhelpful patterns into healthier ways of relating.
By integrating this inner work with psychological support, we can cultivate deeper self compassion, foster harmony within your internal system, and create lasting positive change in both yourself and your relationships.
